GENERAL INFORMATION

1.  Movie Selections and Performance Rights

Keep in mind that most current films have specific performance rights requirements.   Prices generally vary between $300-$800.   Choose from 100's of movies at www.swank.com or avoid the performance cost by choosing a classic film from our Library.

2.  Types of Formats

Our digital projector will accept inputs from BLuray and DVD.

3.  Weather

With any outdoor event extreme weather conditions can create a situation where the event must be cancelled.  Rain, high wind and extreme conditions are areas of concern.  In case of cancellation Full Throttle Productions (FTP) will provide a 30% credit towards your next event which must occur on a mutually agreed upon date within one year of the cancelled date.  FTP will keep 20% for unrecoverable costs plus the Performance Rights Fee if OP has procured the film.

4.  How to Reserve and Book the Dates

With the increase in popularity for outdoor movies, FTP recommends you lock in and secure your event dates ASAP.  A  50% deposit locks in the date, and the 50% balance is due on the day of the event.

5.  Cancellation Policy

In case of cancellation prior to the performance date, FTP retains the 50% deposit.  If FTP is able to re-book an event on the same date, FTP will be able to issue a 85% refund of the deposit.

6.  Locations

Parking lots, grass, concrete, asphalt, carpet and gymnasium floors are all acceptable surfaces.

7.  Logistics

In planning your event you will want to be aware of the following items:

>Power - If there is not power within 100 feet of your screening location, generators may need to be brought in at an additional charge.

>Restrooms - You will need restroom facilities to accommodate your crowd.  If the restrooms are a substantial distance from the viewing area, you may need to bring in signs and volunteers to direct.

>Lights - Make sure any bright lights that shine on the movie screen can be turned off before the movie.  Also take into consideration that when the movie ends there needs to be enough light for people to exit.  In some locations you may need to provide additional flood lights.

8.  Crowd Control / Security
Since there will more than likely be many small children at your event, safety is of utmost concern.  Have plenty of well marked staff, security and volunteers if possible.

9.  Full Service Event Production

When you want to create an event with a vision that has never been seen before FTP can help bring your vision to life.

10.  What are the restrictions of the license for my movie?
Your order is for a limited license to exhibit only to the agreed upon time and place.  Hollywood studios reserve the right to reject showings of certain movies to potential crowds over 200.  Movie prices are for one day's rental. Additional fees will apply to multiple day shows.  If you charge admission, your movie rental rate is the quoted rental price or 50% of your gate receipts, whichever is greater.  This policy is applicable regardless of non-profit status.

11.  Are there any advertising restrictions?
These motion pictures are specifically licensed for non-theatrical showings only. Advertising through media such as public radio, public television or general public newspaper is strictly prohibited.  We encourage you to inform your organization's members and patrons via on-premise bulletin boards, emails and private mailings.  Paid advertising through media such as radio, television or newspaper is discouraged; however you may list your event in the calendar of events section of your local newspaper.   If you choose to advertise through the public media (such as public radio, television, or a website), you may do so, as long as the movie title and studio name are not used. For example, "Join us at ABC Elementary for a Family Movie Night at 7:00pm" is permitted.

12.  Can I plan a fundraiser with my movie?
You may fund raise with any movie except for Walt Disney Pictures* feature-length movies, for which you may only charge admission to help defray the rental cost of the movie.

13.  What if my screening is affected by unforeseen circumstances?
In the event of inclement weather, electrical problems, projector malfunction or other problems that prevent you from showing your film on your scheduled date, you have the option to show the film again within one year at no additional rental charge. Regardless of rescheduling, all invoices are due at the time of the original show date. Only freight will be charged for the rescheduled show date.  Titles cannot be substituted for rescheduling.  All advertising and admission policies still apply to the rescheduled show.

14.  Films distributed by Buena Vista (includes Walt Disney Pictures, Hollywood Pictures, Touchstone Pictures, Miramax) are subject to the following restrictions:
You may not plan fundraisers with these titles.  Outdoor screenings are only allowed during sprin/summer of 2009 (April 30 - May 28 and August 15 - September 30).  Your audience may not exceed 200 people.  You may not show these titles in a venue that serves alcohol.

15.  What is the cost for a double feature?

The second film of the night will only cost an additional $250 plus the Film Licensing.

16.  How soon should I choose my movie?

*Choose the titles you would like to show and place your order early, ( 30 days or more ) to ensure your movie choices will be available.

17.  FTP will provide a 25' X 14' inflatable screen, audio/video equipment and 1 technician.

18. Obtaining a Public Performance  License
If you are hosting your own PRIVATE movie night (on private property) you won't need one.
Obtaining a public performance license is a simple process.  Here's what you do:
For Public Performance Events
First Step: Select the movie title for your event.
Second Step:  Contact one of the companies listed under Links to order your copyright license:  Swank, Criterion, MPLC, K-12 Schools, Libraries.
Third Step: Normally the companies listed (Swank/Criterion) will simply bill your credit card for the license. They will notify you of any restrictions and they'll send you a printed license for screening the title at one address on a specific date. They will supply you with a DVD or you may be able to bring your own.
Note: If your event is cancelled or rescheduled, you can still retain your movie rights for up to 12 months. Simply contact the licensing agent for more information.
